CAPP (Comprehensive Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention) Director Responsibilities

The CAPP Director is responsible for the overall management of the NYS Department of Health Comprehensive Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention (CAPP) grant.  Duties include:

  • Provide outreach to schools and agencies to market education services.
  • Monitor CAPP work plan to ensure compliance with grant requirements
  • Ensure all activities in work plans are carried out to completion
  • Plan, coordinate and facilitate Coalition meetings in Chautauqua County.
  • Coordinate all coalition initiatives and ensure their completion
  • Supervise program staff
  • Supervises the development and implementation of community education and programs
  • Oversee the Safe Harbour initiative and supervise its staff
  • Act as a liaison between NYSDOH, community partners and the YWCA of Jamestown
  • Support all community partners and handle all their requests and or needs in a timely manner.
  • Develop annual work plan and budget and ensures budget adherence
  • Complete all required CAPP quarterly and annual reports as well as fidelity reports for evidence based programs.
  • Manage all education to ensure program is implemented with fidelity.
  • Act as co-facilitator for Project AIM Program when needed
  • Conduct outreach activities directed at targeted communities to enhance services related to health and educational programs and or trainings
  • Maintains the reproductive health text line initiative with Community Educators
  • Maintain the Positive Choices Coalition website
  • Participate in regular in-services/meetings within agency and community
  • Prepare grant proposals when applicable as directed by Executive Director
  • Support Executive Director in other activities as assigned
  • Act as primary CAPP spokesperson in the community
  • Travels in and around Chautauqua County as needed for programs/meetings
  • Other duties as assigned.



Program Leaders

YWCA Jamestown has openings for Program Leaders in our elementary and middle after school programs.  Responsibilities include leading enrichment activities with children between the ages 6-13.  Training will be provided for lesson plan and writing implementation, classroom management and child development.  The successful candidate will have experience implementing a variety of activities with children; will be energetic, patient and reliable.  Associates Degree in Child Development, Recreation or related field is preferred but will consider High School Diploma/GED with two years experience working with children under the age of 13.
